Counselling for women & moms in St. Catharines — room to breathe, at last.
You've been the steady one for everyone else — anticipating, managing, holding. This is a warm, unhurried place to set the mental load down and understand what's really driving it: anxiety, burnout, the quiet exhaustion of doing it all.
The capable one, quietly running on empty.
You look fine from the outside. Better than fine — organized, dependable, the person everyone leans on. But inside, your mind rarely slows down. You replay conversations, anticipate problems before they happen, and carry responsibility for everyone around you. Even when you're functioning, your nervous system can stay in survival mode: always on, never present.
The problem is not that your brain thinks too much. The problem is that it never gets a signal that it can stop.
"You're not struggling because you're incapable. You're stuck in patterns that keep repeating themselves."
Where this work tends to begin.
Therapy that meets you where you are, then works underneath the symptoms — at the patterns and the nervous system — so change actually holds.

As both a counsellor and a mother, I get it.
Dear you,
I know survival mode from the inside — the kind where you manage everyone else's needs while quietly running on empty. Where you're always on, never present. Where the mental load never quite sets down, even at night.
For more than twenty years I've sat with high-achieving women and moms carrying exactly this. And here is what I want you to know: this work is not about surface-level self-care or forcing yourself to "just think positive." It's about understanding why the patterns formed in the first place — they once made sense, they once protected you — and helping your nervous system learn a different way.
My training is in evidence-based approaches — ACT, CBT, somatic-based and trauma-informed work — and I'm an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor, walking alongside people and families navigating substance use. Whatever brings you here, we work at the root, not just the surface.
You don't have to keep carrying everything on your own. Support is available, and meaningful change is possible.
