01 You're here because

You're not struggling because you're incapable. You're stuck in patterns that keep repeating themselves.

Things feel difficult despite doing everything correctly. You look capable on the outside, but inside there is a constant mental and emotional overload. Your mind rarely slows down. You replay conversations, anticipate problems, and carry the responsibility for everyone around you. Even when you are functioning, your nervous system can stay stuck in survival mode.

This can look like

  • Difficulty switching off mentally
  • Emotional exhaustion that doesn't improve with rest
  • People-pleasing, over-responsibility, or constantly putting yourself last
  • Irritability or anxiety simmering underneath the surface

This isn't about weakness or failure. Often, it's a sign that your system has been under stress for too long without enough support.

Therapy helps you understand the patterns underneath the overwhelm, build emotional regulation, and create healthier responses to stress so the life you're working so hard to hold together starts to feel like yours again.

Meet Sarah

As both a counsellor and mother, she knows survival mode from the inside.

Sarah has spent more than twenty years helping high-achieving women and moms find their footing again. She understands what it is to run on empty while managing everyone else's needs, and she brings that lived understanding into the room with you.

Her work combines evidence-based therapy with compassionate, practical support. This work is not about surface-level self-care or forcing yourself to just think positive. It's about understanding the patterns underneath the stress and building something steadier.

A specialization, not a side note

Substance use and family support, from a counsellor certified for this work.

As an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor, Sarah brings genuine expertise to substance use and the families it touches. The focus is never blame. It's understanding why a pattern started, identifying the emotional triggers underneath it, and rebuilding steadier ground, alongside outpatient or inpatient treatment where needed.

  • Root-cause, not surface fixes We look at why the behaviour began, not just the behaviour itself.
  • Compassionate, never shaming A safe space to be honest, with support that meets you where you are.
  • Support for families too Help for the people standing alongside someone they love.
